The intent of our Newsletter is to bring our current clients, prospective clients, employees, friends and family, information and tools that will help them run their businesses and organizations (and maybe even their lives) better.

We will offer insight into our business, who we are, what we do and yes, even a behind the scenes look at the lives of the people who make Spiral what it is.

Spiral Solutions and Technologies, Inc., is a disabled-veteran owned, small disadvantaged business that has been SBA 8a certified. Spiral was "born" in 2004, by our founders, James Gapinski and Ralph Ahsam, on the principal to provide our clients with products and services they demand to operate in a dynamic and changing global environment that exceed their requirements.

Our expertise is the field of Information Technology and Operations, Software Engineering and Development, Security, Global Operations, Acquisition, and Intelligence/Surveillance/Reconnaissance (ISR). Our management team has extensive experience in this field ranging from DoD acquisition program management to operations. We provide hardware, software, and personal services opportunities for information technology (IT) and Command & Control (C2), and we specialize in the fields of developing, repairing, and modifying ISR, IT, and C2 applications and systems.

Our systems and management expertise is unequalled. Our team is built on a highly competitive selection process and our members are individually chosen based upon their individual expertise, education, and performance. Together we represent over 120 years combined experience in both DoD and Corporate ventures. We have close working relationships with the U.S. Military at Headquarters, US Strategic Command, the Peter Kiewit Institute, Scott Technology Transfer and Incubator Center, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Ralston Public Schools

Spiral Solutions just completed a series of three facilitation's with the Ralston Public Schools.

The first session was with the Administrators of all the schools, the second session was with the Ralston School Board, and the third was with the community. All three sessions focused on how to improve Outcomes, Achievements, and Resources in the Ralston Public Schools.

Spiral uses an online program where all the participants are logged into our site and are able to participate in a brainstorming session. The main selling point to the client are that you can make the session anonymous and that you are doing this online so all the information is captured as the participants type in their ideas. After all the ideas are collected, the participants are then able to vote on the ideas and rank them in order based on importance. After the ranking took place we then presented the Ralston Administration with a report that they were able to take and build their action plans on how to improve on the areas discussed in the three facilitations.

The Importance of
Business Processes

Processes in MotionEvery business operates as a collection of interlocking processes and procedures that make up the core of business function. This is just as true of an automotive plant as it is of a bank, or an IT firm. Whether the processes are manual, automated, or logical, driven by a computer or a person, they are vital to the function of a company and their breakdown can cause a host of problems.

Each process starts with a need and ends in some kind of a product or service that is either fully matured, or passed off to another process to be further worked.

Traditionally, management has concentrated on the individual tasks which together make up a process. Productivity and efficiency has been measured on how these individual tasks are performed. Although much investment has been made in aids such as computer systems and individual PCs, average productivity in the office environment has improved very slowly.
