Description


Spiral Solutions and Technologies is looking to add an exceptionally talented Field Superintendent to our team.  The selected field superintendent will be responsible for planning and ensuring the coordination of jobs; supervising the project; ensuring quality of work and materials are upheld and the budget is followed as planned; supervising all operations on the jobsite; ensuring workers are implementing what is on the design plan; monitoring the workers and the progress of the project and reports to Coeur d’Alene office as well as owner. They are also responsible for any happenings at the jobsite and sees to it that the project is completed in time and that the laid down standards are met and scheduling on site work, subcontractors, materials and equipment deliveries.


Duties


Duties of the content manager include but are not limited to:

 

  • Hiring to include, but not limited to:
  1. Assist field operations manager in hiring field workers
  2. Distribute employment packets and coordinate completed packets
  3. Coordinate negotiations with applicants and hiring manager
  4. Prepare all necessary correspondence to ensure complete and accurate processing
  5. Ensure that both the health and safety project plans are implemented
  6. Oversee all jobsite processes
  7. Organize workers and ensure they are performing as required
  8. General inspection of the workers and their performance and safety
  9. Ensure the stipulated safety rules and regulations are met
  10. Act as liaison with government owner, inspectors on the standard requirements of the site in terms of licenses and safety
  11. Follows the project process to ensure that is completed in time
  12. Supervises the subcontractors and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver work in accordance with the contract documents
  13. Recording total costs for materials bought and payments for work done
  14. Ensure that quality is preserved in the project process and the budget is maintained
  15. Update project progress reports with operation’s manager
  • Administration of Jobsite to include, but not limited to:

Education, Skills & Experience


 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Construction Management preferred
  • 5 Years – Construction/Demolition
  • 2 Years – Superintendent

 

Skills:

 

  • Ability to supervise multiple trades and subcontractors
  • Ability to schedule and multitask
  • Knowledgeable in government building, demolition and construction and environmental and specialty contracting
  • Be a good problem solver

Preferred Experience:

  • Construction
  • Demolition
  • Asbestos and Lead Abatement
  • Hazardous Waste Site/Project
  • Federal Installations Experience


 


Other Essential Requirements


 

  • Must be able to secure a security clearance. 
  • Must pass drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  • With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved paid time off (PTO), attendance is considered essential.
  • Must be able to work within the shift hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.
  • Physically demanding work
  • Travel requirements - Mandatory
