Description
Spiral Solutions and Technologies is looking to add an exceptionally talented operations manager to our team. The selected operations manager will have overall daily successful operation of specialty division of the company. Majority work for this division is with federal government. Responsibilities will include regulate the planning, directing and implementation of the construction, demolition, and environmental project procedures and policies to complete the projects, including customer building, bid preparation, negotiations, submittals, scheduling work and budgets, and manage superintendents and field workers.
Duties
Duties of the content manager include but are not limited to:

Hiring to include, but not limited to:
-
Assist management in hiring field superintendents
-
Determine the labor requirements and assist superintendent in hiring construction (field) workers

Distribute employment packets and coordinate completed packets
-
Administration to include, but not limited to:
-
Ensure all safety precautions are adhered to by the workers
-
Monitor compliance with set regulations
-
Review of solicitations and preparation of accurate bids and/or quotes
-
Scheduling and coordination all types of design during the project process
-
Coordinate with superintendent to understand their requirements and prepares a budget to make the arrangements for availing essential materials

Oversee all field process for quality of work
-
Selecting, hiring and overseeing the work done by the contractors
-
Determine the best source of materials and use of resources are well used
-
Obtain necessary licenses or permits
-
Review superintendent’s progress, monitor job costs and compare with budget
-
Ensure bids, submittals, quality of work is per outlined specification

Education, Skills & Experience
Education/Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Construction Management preferred
-
5 Years – Construction/Demolition/Environmental Project bid and operation experience
-
5 Years – Superintendent
-
5 years in Subcontract management
Skills:
-
Good knowledge of all sort of specialty contracting projects, procedures and field equipment and machinery, etc, to outline the effective field development schemes
-
Ability to select, appoint and inspect the contractors to meet the assigned deadlines of the construction work
-
Ability to schedule and multitask
-
Good knowledgeable in working with federal government
-
Attentive to detail
-
Possess good communication skills, both, white and blue color
-
Focus on customer satisfaction by meeting all specification requirements and exceptional communication skills.

Other Essential Requirements

Must be able to secure a security clearance.

Must pass drug and alcohol testing.

Must be able to read and write effectively in English.

Must be able to read proficient understanding blue prints and able to do take off calculations

Must be able to negotiate, select and manage subcontractors.

Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved paid time off (PTO), attendance is considered essential.

Must be able to work within the shift hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.
