Description
Spiral Solutions and Technologies is looking to add an exceptionally talented equipment operator to our team. The selected construction worker will need to proficiently operate and maintain heavy equipment used in demolition of structures, buildings and earth moving operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties
Duties of the content manager include but are not limited to:

Arrive at the construction site early enough to commence work

Loading and unloading construction equipment
-
Operate heavy, motorized equipment used in earth moving operation, including, but not limited to tankers, dozers, scrapers, loaders, mobile composite mixers, excavators, etc and other equipment to support a variety of operations

Building, constructing, demolishing and excavating structures or land surfaces using construction equipment
-
Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks

Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored

Practice workplace safety

Education, Skills & Experience
Education/Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
6 Years - Heavy Equipment Operations & Maintenance
-
Commercial drivers license a plus.
-
Experience in demolishing structures and environmental earth work a plus
-
Current OSHA training Certificates a plus
Skills:
-
Must be able to work for extended hours of work days
-
Must be careful during work to avoid injury
-
Operational characteristics of a variety of heavy, power-driven equipment
-
Methods and materials used in general construction, demolition and maintenance work
-
Traffic laws, ordinances, and rules involved in heavy equipment operations
-
Must have the necessary physical stamina
Preferred Experience:
-
Demolition
-
Asbestos and Lead Abatement
-
Crane experience
-
Experience with a 50K+ excavator
Other Essential Requirements
-
Must be able to secure a security clearance.
-
Must pass random drug and alcohol testing.
-
Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
-
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved paid time off (PTO), attendance is considered essential.

Must be able to work within the shift hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.
